The Milam Appraisal District's Appraisers will be in the field performing property inspections required by law. Appraisers will always be in vehicles that are clearly marked, have business cards and state issued TDLR license that can be shown upon request. The Appraisers will never request that you allow them access inside any building. If you have have any questions or concerns please contact our office. Local law enforcement is also aware of the specific appraisers in an area and the vehicles they drive.

2019 Notices of Appraised Value

Most property owners received a Notice of Appraised Value from the Milam Appraisal District. The appraisal district mailed approximately 21,000 notices on May 1st. The cities, county, school districts and water districts will use the appraisal district’s value to set 2019 property taxes.

Appraisal notices contain important information about the property’s value, location, ownership, and property tax exemptions. Is also contains an estimate of 2019 taxes.
